Animal farm as satire

  "Satire is a violent attack of words"

Introduction of writer.

                Eric Arthur blair(1903-1950), know by his pen name "George Orwell" was an english novelist, essayist, journalist and critic. Aa a writer orwell produced " literary criticism" and poetry, fiction and polemical journalism and he is best known for the allegorical novel "Animal farm". 

       Meaning of satire:

       Satire has been called the oldest form of social commentary.satire also gets people to pay attention to social issues when they might otherwise ignore them.george orwell's animal farm uses satire to show the political ideology and the misuse of power in communistic society.

           Animal farm can be read as an allegory that satirize the event of the Russian revolution of 1917 with animals representing characters from Russian history. 

        When animal farm first appeared , it was taken entirely as a satire on the history of the soviet union, the Marxist revolution. Stalin's rise to power, and the attitudes and actions western nations.orwell was convinced that Marxist revolution of 1917 had been betrayed by stalin. This conviction was soon shown to be perfectly justified for Stalin's lack of respect and regard for truth.

          In animal farm, the animal begin with similar motives, but the society they create is unequal almost from the begging. Old major who represent "lenin" in his work .he said

                       'Get rid of man'.

         Animal also won fight against mr.jones.Then, animals leaders are the pigs, snowball and Napoleon. The name changed from "manor farm to Animal farm,"and seven commandment of Animalism are painted on the wall of the barn. Napoleon did conspiracy and get rid away snowball from farm. He take all the power of animal farm's in his hand.

       Boxer has a blind patriotism towards his master. He work hard for windmill. It was three time disaster.The windmill is rebuilt =rapid enforced industrial build up in Russia.

     At, last the day comes when the pigs appear walking on two legs and speak also slogan:

            "Four legs good two legs better"

         The pigs wear clothes now.The seven commandment on the barn wall have been reduced to just one:

       "All animals are equal, but

      Some are more equal then others."

    Thus, orwell us animal as fable and shown us the real situation of that time.

    Conclusion:

         Orwell's satire is successful because of its clarity. It is obvious to reader who understands the the development of Totalitarian government in orwell's own time which animals represent which animal farm is greatest satire's example in our English literature's history.
